Sr. Scientist, Lentivirus Upstream Processing

Role: Senior Scientist, Lentivirus Upstream Processing within Legend Biotech's Technical Development team, focusing on designing and optimizing upstream production of lentiviral vectors for CAR-T and other cell therapies. Responsibilities include developing scalable GMP-compatible processes such as seed train expansion, mammalian cell culture (HEK293/HEK293T), transient transfection, and bioreactor scale-up, along with process validation, troubleshooting, and tech transfer. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams (CMC, analytical, downstream), authoring technical documents, and supporting regulatory submissions. Requirements: PhD (preferred) or MS in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related fields, with 5-8+ years (PhD) or 8+ years (MS) biotech process development experience; hands-on expertise in mammalian upstream bioprocessing for viral vectors, GMP manufacturing, and bioreactor operations (>50L scale preferred).
