Clinical Research and Development
The Quantitative, Translational ADME Sciences (QTAS) department at AbbVie is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join the Biologics bioanalysis, characterization, and proteomics group. Develop and implement LC/MS-based bioanalysis and in vitro characterization assays of novel biologics entities. Optimize and implement LC/MS-based methods to drive in vivo PK, TK, PK/PD analysis and in vitro stability characterization. Responsible for sample preparation, method development, bioanalytical assay operations, data analysis, report generation, and data presentation.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments to generate high-quality experimental data.
- Perform affinity purification of biotherapeutics (e.g., monoclonal and multispecific antibodies, ADCs, antibody-siRNA conjugates, tLNPs).
- Analyze data and maintain detailed study documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Facilitate assay optimization and implementation to ensure laboratory capacity and data quality.
- Communicate data interpretation internally and externally.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s (typically 10 years), Masterโ€™s (typically 8 years), or PhD (no experience).
- Highly motivated, self-driven, results-oriented; excellent communication and presentation skills; able to work as a team player and individual contributor.
- Prior industry experience in drug discovery/development preferred; in-depth understanding of in vivo PK/TK/PK/PD and bioanalytical assays plus in vitro characterization assays highly desired.
- In-depth protein mass spectrometry; hands-on experience with QQQ (SCIEX), qTOF (Agilent/Bruker/SCIEX), and/or Orbitrap (Thermo) highly desired.
- Hands-on experience with automated liquid handling systems highly desired.
- Ability to manage/analyze data using Protein Metrics Byos and GraphPad Prism.

Benefits (if applicable):
- Paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k); eligible for long-term incentive programs.
