Role Summary
Sr. Scientist in the flow core lab will provide flow cytometry guidance to support the portfolio, train users on acquisition and analysis, and generate data that drives project decisions. The role involves leading training, ensuring data quality, and collaborating across Lilly research sites to advance flow cytometry capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead flow cytometry training and data QC to new and existing users
- Design flow panels in coordination with project scientists
- Convey core capabilities to lead scientists in order to provide flow solutions to meet projects' needs
- Collaborate across Lilly research sites and share key learnings and best practices
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and evaluate them in-house when appropriate
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's/masterβs degree in Biological Science or related field with a minimum of 3 years of flow cytometry experience
- Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1
- Preferred: Proficiency in flow cytometry including spectral flow and small particle flow
- Preferred: Experience with flow cytometer automation
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as team
- Preferred: Good communication skills including presenting results in team meetings
- Preferred: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Preferred: Strong self-start and self-management skills
