Role Summary
Sr. Scientist - Cardiometabolic Research
Responsibilities
Design and perform laboratory-based assays to deepen our understanding of cardiometabolic disease biology
Develop functional screening assays and evaluate potential therapeutics to advance the pre-clinical pipeline
Organize and interpret data and present work to colleagues and project teams
Contribute to the identification and validation of therapeutic targets
Coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve project goals and drive project advancement
Qualifications
Required: Doctorate Degree (PhD) or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience
Preferred: Demonstrated expertise in the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease biology; high-throughput cell-based and biochemical assays; live cell imaging and image processing; qPCR, ddPCR, Western Blot, MSD, ELISA and flow-based expression analysis; cell line engineering technologies (CRISPR, lentivirus, retrovirus, or piggyBac); high-throughput functional perturbation approaches (CRISPR-based or RNAi screens); single-cell transcriptomics or other omics data for disease pathology and novel target identification
