Role: Bioconjugation Scientist focusing on process transfer and clinical manufacturing of ADCs and related modalities at Lillyβs new Medicine Foundry. Responsibilities: facilitate technology transfer from R&D to pilot/plant scale, perform bioconjugation chemistry (antibody prep, conjugation, characterization), evaluate raw materials, support analytical method setup, analyze data, prepare technical documentation, and contribute to process improvements and troubleshooting. Requirements: B.S./M.S. with 3+ years in biochemistry, chemical biology, or related fields in manufacturing; experience with bioconjugation chemistry, working with potent molecules, and analytical methods (RP-HPLC, SEC, LC-MS); familiarity with process chemistry and scale-up; strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred: knowledge of organic chemistry, chromatography systems, and experience with synthetic chemistry techniques. High-Value: ADCs, bioconjugation, process transfer, cGMP manufacturing, biologics, and bioconjugates with a focus on process development and clinical supply. Work setup: initial at Indianapolis, then permanent at Lebanon, Indiana; travel <5%. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams including process engineering, analytical chemistry, and safety.
