Senior Robotics Solutions Engineer (Field Based)
Position Summary
- Contribute to the Technical Field Service team as a seasoned individual contributor working independently with minimal supervision.
- Help establish and implement projects, programs, and processes supporting the organization’s customer management strategy.
- Apply advanced field service knowledge to create best-in-class policies, procedures, and plans.
Key Responsibilities
- System set-up, movement, maintenance, repair, and de-installation.
- Analyze and manage data logs to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Lead RSE Service Team technical and non-technical activities to maintain robotic systems’ availability.
- Execute tasks including documentation and team metrics.
- Ensure safe, robust, and reliable service solutions; follow documentation processes and ECO processes.
- Participate in process improvement discussions.
- Engage in continuous learning and training for RSE Service on robotics systems.
- Safely work in a manufacturing environment; follow all safety and hazard requirements.
- Provide status updates and reports to senior management.
- Interface with Systems Engineering, Product Support Engineers, Quality, and cross-functional teams to improve system Uptime and MTTR.
- Stand/sit/kneel for extended periods; use electro-mechanical tools; lift up to 45 lbs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical field.
Required Experience/Skills
- 4–6 years in capital medical technology industry.
- Experience with software, mechanical/electrical mechanisms, and robotic technology.
- Basic knowledge of working in a medical regulated environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and manage projects, process improvements, and timelines.
- Experience developing and executing new processes.
- Strong written/oral communication (English).
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships.
- Microsoft Suite proficiency (PowerPoint and Excel).
Travel
- Domestic up to 50%.
