Sr. Project Manager, Systems

Role Summary

Sr. Project Manager, Systems will lead the delivery of the next generation of the Ottava surgical robotics platform by orchestrating documentation release, safety and risk management, and system-wide change control. This role is based in either Santa Clara, CA or Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Drive the release of all documents required for System-level Phase Design Reviews and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive deliverable roadmap that enables a clear view of deliverable dependencies.
• Establish processes, templates, dashboards, and metrics to ensure clear communication and consistency across teams.
• Develop, release, and manage safety, risk and risk profiles at the system level.
• Chair Ottava’s safety- and risk-related governance forums including defect review board, risk management board, and cross-functional safety reviews.
• Own Change Control and Configuration Management at the system level.

Qualifications

• Required: 5+ years of experience as a project manager or equivalent in complex, multi-project or multi-system environments.
• Required: A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in engineering, medicine, or another technical discipline is appreciated but not required.
• Required: Professional experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or defense.
• Required: Formal professional experience in a mix of lifecycle management, safety and risk management, and document control.
• Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent scheduling tools.
• Preferred: Experience using Airtable and/or Atlassian tools.

Additional Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally between sites (up to 10%).
