Sr. Project Manager, Potent Facility

Purpose:
- Lead Strategic capital projects critical to enabling the manufacturing network to deliver innovative medicines.
- Achieve all project objectives including EHS, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, and Compliance while driving top performance of consultants, architecture/engineering firms, construction contractors, and managers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., ME&C and Quality) through all phases of the strategic project.
Responsibilities:
- Single point responsibility to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Implement applicable EHS and Engineering policies/procedures and ensure compliance.
- Drive EHS performance, including construction safety; ensure project work does not impact existing facilities/operations.
- Drive best-in-class design within scope boundaries with key operations stakeholders.
- Manage and take responsibility for all phases of project execution.
- Monitor/manage project risks; ensure mitigation plans; escalate risks to the steering committee when required.
- Demonstrate financial acumen and cost control; plan/project capital and expense spend; provide LBE and estimates to complete monthly.
- Implement value engineering and alternate options/scenarios/fallback strategies to drive efficiencies.
- Lead strategic sourcing in cooperation with Procurement (assist with contract negotiations; manage scope/schedule creep and dispute resolution).
- Monitor/measure progress and performance via KPIs; proactively mitigate impacts to schedule, cost, quality, and EHS.
- Foster innovation; integrate novel concepts into the project.
- Communicate effectively; present performance to steering committees, senior leadership, regulators, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
- Minimum 10 yearsβ experience as an Engineering Leader/Projects/Operations Leader across multiple drug product operations.
- In-depth expertise in aseptic and sterile manufacturing technologies (multi-format filling lines and lyophilizers; small volume cytotoxic filling preferred).
- Proven inclusive leadership of diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with senior leadership, regulators, and government agencies.
- Excellent negotiation skills plus financial acumen for cross-functional projects.
- Ability to lead change and deliver results in a matrix organization.
- Business acumen; financial planning/budgeting experience including P&L responsibility.
- Ability to mentor and develop next-generation leaders.
- Site-based; travel required to other project sites and design reviews/workshops.
