Role: Senior leader responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory supporting clinical biomarker development. Responsibilities include developing and validating tissue-based biomarker assays (immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, multiplex, digital pathology), advising on tissue handling, implementing new technologies, and ensuring assay robustness for clinical samples. The role involves managing a team of scientists, fostering talent, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (GxP, CAP, CLIA). Key duties encompass laboratory operations, quality assurance, vendor oversight, and assay transfer to clinical sites. Requirements: Master’s, Ph.D., or M.D. in life sciences; 12+ years’ experience (10+ with Ph.D./M.D.), including at least three years in leadership or laboratory management; strong expertise in histology, tissue technologies, clinical assay validation, and quality systems; preferred experience in histology, translational research, or biomarker labs, with histotechnology certification and digital pathology skills.
