Senior Principal Scientist – Non-Regulated Immunoassay Leader (PKDM), Thousand Oaks, California

Responsibilities
- Lead scientific strategy and execution for non-regulated immunoassay development and bioanalysis supporting pharmacokinetic and soluble target protein measurements.
- Provide technical leadership across ELISA, MSD/ECL, Gyrolab, Quanterix, AlphaLISA, and emerging technologies.
- Design, develop, optimize, qualify, and validate immunoassays for biologics R&D.
- Oversee sample analysis to deliver high-quality, scientifically rigorous data within timelines.
- Drive laboratory operational excellence (workflow management, prioritization, troubleshooting, planning, continuous improvement).
- Serve as subject matter expert for immunoassay technologies and bioanalytical strategies.
- Collaborate with Discovery Research, Precision Medicine, Translational Safety and Risk Sciences, and cross-functional teams.
- Interpret complex scientific data and communicate results to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop scientific staff; foster a collaborative environment.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to expand capabilities and improve assay performance.
- Maintain accurate scientific documentation and adhere to internal standards and best practices.

Qualifications
- Basic: Doctorate + 3 years scientific experience; OR Master’s + 6 years; OR Bachelor’s + 8 years.
- Preferred: PhD in relevant discipline; 5–10 years industry immunoassay/bioanalysis; expertise in non-regulated immunoassays (development/qualification/validation/sample analysis); hands-on multi-platform experience; ability to lead complex programs; lab operations leadership in matrixed environments; people management preferred; strong bioanalytical strategy knowledge for biologics; strong communication/presentation/technical writing; influence cross-functional teams; passion for mentoring.
