Sr Principal Engineer – MES Systems
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop standard approaches and components to build MES recipes and integration across Lilly’s new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) sites.
- Assist local teams in Design, Development, Delivery, and CSV of MES solutions for new facilities.
- Report to the MQ IT Leader for new facilities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate MES common and site-specific components
- Benchmark innovative solutions (internal/external)
- Adapt roadmap to site evolution/strategic directions and emerging trends/issues
- Support MES startup activities
- Replication & standardization; evaluate emerging technologies
- Maintain open communication with MES vendors; manage standard solution/functional packs
- Ensure project/validation documentation is maintained through lifecycle/release management
- Develop/maintain MES interfaces with other Lilly systems
Basic Qualifications (No Sponsorship)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related technical field
- 10+ years MES implementations and Data Integration (prefer Syncade/Delta V MES)
- Professional experience in a GXP, regulated environment
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday, on-site; flexible for production schedules/shutdowns; occasional extended/off-hours.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base pay: $126,000–$184,800; possible company bonus and comprehensive benefits (including 401(k), medical/dental/vision, vacation, life insurance, and well-being benefits).
