Responsibilities:
- Lead design and delivery of the Emerson DeltaV DCS platform and associated software integration teams for Lillyโ€™s manufacturing expansion (Drug Substance/small molecule).
- Manage one or more automation DCS project workstreams: design, scheduling, staffing, and qualification.
- Collaborate with A&E firms, system integrators, site/corporate engineering peers, and Tech@Lilly to develop/manage DeltaV system/software design, testing, startup, and qualification.
- After delivery, support GMP manufacturing operations in small molecule or oligonucleotides.
- Provide technical oversight for User Requirements and Design Review/Qualification documentation.

Key Deliverables:
- Champion safety culture; mentor/coach; apply engineering/automation principles.
- Develop requirements/specifications; manage system integrators; deliver integrated Automation/MES solution.
- Participate in basic/detailed design (including validation, staffing, SOWs, supplier management, delivery strategies).
- Develop computer system validation strategies; develop site automation procedures; support PSM/PHRs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering (or related).
- 8+ years in process automation with Emerson DeltaV platform experience.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- 5+ years in API/drug substance manufacturing (preferred).
- Process instrumentation knowledge, batch control, data historians, system integration (MES), strong analytical thinking, collaboration/influence.

Additional Information:
- Travel <20%.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $66,000โ€“$171,600; potential company bonus; company-sponsored 401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision/prescription, flexible benefits, life insurance, leave benefits, and well-being benefits.
