Role: Provide strategic and technical water management expertise within Lilly's Global HSE to support manufacturing, research, and related operations. Objectives include advancing standards for wastewater, water use, recycling, groundwater, and drinking water compliance, translating regulatory developments into risk-based solutions, and contributing to enterprise policy and environmental risk mitigation. Responsibilities encompass defining global water strategies, assisting new sites with permitting, developing data and performance metrics, influencing legislation, and leading technical guidance for water pollution control across sites. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering/Science field; 10+ years in water pollution control, wastewater treatment, and regulatory affairs, with expertise in US Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and international standards; experience in highly regulated industries like pharma API manufacturing; authorized to work in the US. Preferred: MS or PhD, risk assessment expertise, stakeholder influence, data-driven decision-making, and experience establishing enterprise-wide environmental programs globally. High-Value: Focus on water management in regulated pharma environments, with global scope, senior-level technical leadership, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
