Role Summary

Senior Payroll Specialist within the Global Business Services team responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance, and supporting payroll system optimization. Focused on timely payroll execution, issue resolution, and collaboration with stakeholders to uphold payroll operations and employee trust.

Responsibilities

  • Process regular and off-cycle US payroll, including collecting payroll inputs and calculating payroll to ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies and procedures, as well as government regulations, including timely tax payments and document filing.
  • Provide support to team members when needed by acting as a backup and participating in knowledge sharing.
  • Keep process documentation up to date and suggest improvements to promote efficiency and systems optimization.
  • Deliver exceptional support to employees and stakeholders, resolving tickets and requests promptly and ensuring regular communication.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support payroll-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required: University degree in finance, accounting, management, or equivalent professional payroll training/coursework.
  • Required: 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Required: Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
  • Required: Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to payroll.
  • Required: Competence in auditing payroll records and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Required: Experience in managing the execution of defined actions and monitoring completion with multiple stakeholders.
  • Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Preferred: Experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with UKG Pro platform.
  • Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
