Role Summary

Senior Payroll Specialist within the Global Business Services team, responsible for processing payroll and ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance for the assigned country. Focus on timely payroll execution, system troubleshooting, and collaboration with customers and stakeholders to maintain smooth payroll operations and support business objectives. Contributes to payroll system enhancements and documentation, ensuring transactions comply with internal policies and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process regular and off-cycle US payroll, including collecting inputs and calculating payroll to ensure timely payment.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies, procedures, and government regulations, including timely tax payments and document filing.
  • Provide backup support to team members and participate in knowledge sharing.
  • Keep process documentation up to date and suggest improvements for efficiency and systems optimization.
  • Deliver exceptional support to employees and stakeholders, resolving tickets promptly and maintaining regular communication.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support payroll-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required: University degree in finance, accounting, management, or equivalent payroll training/coursework.
  • Required: 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Required: Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Required: Knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll.
  • Required: Competence in auditing payroll records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Required: Experience managing execution of defined actions and monitoring completion with multiple stakeholders.
  • Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Preferred: Experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with UKG Pro platform.
  • Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
