Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for approximately 320+ employees. Supports payroll operations including salary, hourly, bonus, and equity-related compensation. Partners with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and review semi-monthly (salary) and bi-weekly (hourly) multi-state payrolls for ~320+ employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Coordinate and process special payments (bonuses, equity, LOA).
- Coordinate and review monthly/quarterly reporting to federal and state governmental agencies as required by law.
- Support payroll processing for equity compensation (stock awards, option exercises, ESPP transactions).
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding and maintenance of employee compensation; initiate PTO.
- Support payroll audits and internal controls by maintaining documentation and reconciling payroll transactions.
- Administer employee lifecycle changes in ADP (additions, master data changes, terminations).
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for Finance, HR, and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (wage/hour laws, tax reporting, recordkeeping).
- Assist with researching payroll issues, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with stock-based compensation, including ESPP.

Qualification Requirements:
- 5–7+ years payroll processing experience.
- Multi-state payroll experience in high growth environments.
- ADP Workforce Now proficiency (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail; exceptional math/calculation skills.
- Understanding of equity compensation payroll taxation (RSUs, ESPP, stock options) (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFs, Pivots).
- Ability to partner with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution.
- Multitasking; good research and analysis skills.

Salary Range:
$95,000 USD - $105,000 USD
