Role Summary

Senior Oncology Specialist role covering Ft Myers, Saint Petersburg, Lakeland, Clearwater, and Naples. You will be the primary customer contact, providing current clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products to medical professionals and communicating the clinical and economic benefits of the products. You will develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to achieve sales targets while building product access and maintaining contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
  • Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Maintain passion for the products and sustain it through the entire sales cycle, while building the brand and focusing on serving patients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
  • Leverage passion for Oncology and awareness of disease state, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
  • Required: Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
  • Required: High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
  • Preferred: Preferred experience in Oncology
  • Preferred: Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
  • Preferred: Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases, and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
  • Preferred: Local Market knowledge.
  • Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Preferred: Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.
