Senior Manager, Strategic Capacity Management (Wound Closure & Healing platform, Surgery Business Unit)
Responsibilities
- Drive the Strategic Capacity Management (SCM) process across multiple global stakeholders for a 2–10 year horizon; evaluate long-term supply chain scenarios.
- Identify critical demand/supply situations and provide insights/recommendations for Value Stream Leaders (from operational changes to multi-million dollar investments).
- Integrate with stakeholders providing modeling inputs; use technology to reduce process-cycle lags and deliver timely data/analysis.
- Lead process improvement with a customer-first approach; solve problems by bridging data gaps to create feasible models/scenarios.
- Lead strategic planning governance (annual cadence/communications), influence without authority, and executive-level communication.
- Proactively identify opportunities (capacity, new launches, new technology, business continuity, regulatory validations, inventory/cycle time).
- Own SCM models in the OMP platform; generate/report scenarios; own PowerBI reporting.
- Champion scalable large-data modeling tools (Python/R/Alteryx).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s (or equivalent), STEM-focused preferred.
- Required: 8+ years relevant experience; team leadership in logistics/planning/manufacturing (Medical Device or related); proven process-model building (flows/constraints); familiarity with simulation/optimization tools.
- Preferred: Theory of Constraints and/or System Dynamics; OMP/Anaplan/Blue Yonder/Kinaxis/Jonova; ability to train others to validate/challenge models.
- Travel: up to 30%.
