Senior Manager, Strategic Capacity Management — Wound Closure & Healing (WCH) within Surgery Business Unit.

About the Role
- Drive and orchestrate the WCH SCM process across global stakeholders.
- Lead and evaluate long-term supply chain scenarios (2–10 year horizon) to identify critical demand/supply situations.
- Provide insights and recommendations so Value Stream Leaders can make decisions ranging from operational changes (e.g., free “trapped capacity”) to multi-million dollar investments.

Key Responsibilities
People
- Integrate with stakeholders providing modeling inputs and internal customers using SCM model conclusions.
- Lead process improvement with a customer-first mentality; use technology to reduce cycle lags and deliver data/analysis faster.
- Problem-solve across partners; bridge gaps in data availability to create feasible models/scenarios.

Process
- Drive annual strategic planning governance (cadence/communications); demonstrate influence without authority across PLAN (Engineering, MAKE, Commercial, Global Marketing).
- Identify opportunities beyond network capacity (e.g., new product launches, technology requirements, continuity planning, regulatory validations, inventory/cycle time management).
- Apply general management principles related to capacity implications (e.g., procedure revenue forecasts, gross profit, market share, inventory; market/region impacts; phase in/phase out; E&O).

Tools
- Own SCM models in the OMP platform; scenario generation and reporting.
- Champion large-data modeling tools (Python/R/Alteryx) and digital maturity.
- Own Power BI reporting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent); STEM-related preferred (engineering, logistics, supply chain, computing, finance, economics).
- Required: 8+ years relevant experience; leadership in logistics/planning/manufacturing (medical device or closely related industry); proven process modeling expertise (flows/constraints); familiarity with simulation and optimization tools.
- Preferred: Theory of Constraints and/or System Dynamics (practical application); tools knowledge (OMP, Anaplan, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Jonova) and ability to train others to validate/challenge models.
- Other: up to 30% travel.
