Role Summary
Based in Raritan, NJ (with consideration for other J&J sites in EMEA, AIPAC, or LATAM), the Senior Manager, Deployment Excellence leads the development, maintenance, and implementation of Deployment Excellence Standards and related activities to enable effective deployment across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Proactive leadership in development, maintenance, and implementation of Deployment Excellence Standards, aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Deployment Excellence to create and maintain Deployment Excellence Standards and Playbooks/Methodologies, including integration of AI solutions.
- Support Center of Excellence for SC Deployment Excellence by promoting awareness, education, and adoption of best practices and services.
- Facilitate collaboration with SC Excellence, JJT, and stakeholders; monitor capability solution roadmaps and share knowledge to enhance deployment services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external providers; identify and onboard resources as needed; ensure availability of skilled resources and manage SLAs.
- Oversee internal and external teams to ensure clear visibility and successful delivery of deployment services, maintaining alignment with objectives.
- Aid in managing an effective engagement model with Functional Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Business Partners, focusing on benefits and status of emerging technologies.
- Support compliance with GxP standards and regulations governing document management.
- Participate in assessments and process excellence opportunities; help identify experts and optimize operations, technology efficiency, and quality.
- Maintain collaborative relationships across the supply chain network to maximize resource management effectiveness.
- Promote a common understanding of deployment through partnership engagements, proactive stage-gate oversight, and alignment of objectives across relevant parties.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of Deployment Excellence Standards; ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance on industry trends and regulatory changes to keep Deployment Excellence Standards relevant and compliant.
- Develop adaptable resource planning and allocation tools to meet current and future needs; ensure resource deployment aligns with organizational objectives.
- Manage major stakeholders and set/communicate expectations with customers throughout projects.
- Manage budgets for the area of responsibility and provide input to meet financial expectations.
- Collaborate across SC Excellence, Innovative Medicine, MT Supply Chains, and JJT; share best practices and stay informed on solution roadmaps.
- Maintain relationships with external providers; onboard resources when needed and monitor SLAs to demonstrate value.
Deploy Excellence Service Execution
- Support the Deployment Excellence Center of Excellence, facilitating stakeholder engagement and assisting in determining resource requirements; identify SMEs as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and deliver exceptional outcomes; foster a culture of excellence within the team.
Qualifications
- Required: At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Required: Proven experience delivering large-scale complex system deployments.

- Required: Knowledge of GxP and SOX requirements and regulations.
- Required: Experience in a support organization with knowledge of functional and matrix structures.
