Position Summary:
Senior Technical Manager to lead Connected Platform Operations for the OTTAVA install base. Establish and scale a global Software Deployment and Monitoring Center of Excellence (CoE) ensuring performance, reliability, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement for a connected surgical robotics platform.

Responsibilities:
- Build/scale a global platform operating model; own platform health, performance, reliability, scalability.
- Define KPIs (uptime, deployment success, system performance, remote resolution rates).
- Partner with hospital IT to integrate devices into network infrastructure; configure IP/VLAN/firewalls for secure connectivity.
- Support HL7, DICOM and interoperability; coordinate deployments with hospital IT, network engineering, biomedical engineering, clinical informatics, and vendors.
- Establish CoE for software deployment, release management, and change control; standardize processes, governance, and validation.
- Implement monitoring/observability (IoT/telemetry); use AI/ML for predictive diagnostics; run 24/7 follow-the-sun monitoring.
- Lead DevOps (CI/CD, automation); diagnose connectivity issues between devices and hospital systems; provide remote/on-site technical support.
- Build dashboards/analytics linking platform performance to service/business KPIs.
- Ensure secure operations aligned with regulatory standards; manage vulnerabilities/patching; comply with hospital cybersecurity policies and HIPAA.

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years in software engineering/IT/CS/biomedical engineering/platform or connected systems.
- Experience leading global platform/IoT operations at scale; healthcare IT/networking/medical device integration.
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, wireless networking; HL7/DICOM/EMRs.
- Network monitoring/troubleshooting; TLS handshake issue troubleshooting.
- Cloud (AWS), DevOps, monitoring, automation; manage large cross-functional teams; release management/deployment governance; strong executive communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Connected medical devices/robotics; FDA/MDR experience; CoE building; AI/ML; CCNA or equivalent; CompTIA Network+ or Security+; CBET (plus).

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base pay range: $122,000–$212,750 (Bay Area: $142,000–$244,950).
