Sr Medical Science Liaison - Ophthalmology/Endocrinology - North NJ / Brooklyn
Territory: North Jersey and Brooklyn and part of NY (Yonkers, White Plains)
What You Will Do
- Build relationships with healthcare professionals; answer product-related queries.
- Provide scientific presentations and medical education programs; share HCP insights with internal teams.
- Network/partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors (per compliance/legal/regulatory guidelines).
- Communicate scientific/medical information and product value; obtain and relay customer feedback.
- Match unmet customer needs with internal resources; collaborate cross-functionally using scientific, medical, and health economic information.
- Identify/train potential speakers; support external speaker programs and attend conferences/venues.
- Collaborate with medical affairs and clinical development to evaluate research opportunities and facilitate investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and company-sponsored trials.
- Monitor competitive environment and provide feedback to senior leadership.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 2 years Field Medical Affairs OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered).
- 2+ years in medical science liaison role (biotech/pharma) strongly preferred.
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to network.
- Travel up to 60% (may require up to 15-hour days); learn new business applications (e.g., PC/iPad); proficient in Microsoft Office.
