Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic leader for clinical programs; provide a clear voice for early-stage CVM therapeutic area.
- Develop creative but realistic drug development approaches; lead efforts to achieve first-in-human and proof-of-concept milestones.
- Oversee trial conduct and safety.
- Serve as early clinical research lead on ePT or chair CDST (as program stage dictates), accountable for the Clinical Development Plan.
- Provide strategic consultation to Research on decisions with clinical implications.
- Collaborate with Preclinical, Translational Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs to integrate product development plans.
- Accountable (via Clinical Research and Clinical Operations) for timelines and deliverables.
- Contribute to/supervise major written deliverables and presentation materials.
- Managerial responsibility with direct report(s) of Medical Director.
- Influence internal/external audiences; act as spokesperson at external regulatory/scientific meetings.

Qualifications:
- MD or MD PhD; Board Certification (or equivalent) or specialist training in Nephrology (preferred).
- 5+ years industry experience leading early-phase clinical programs in CVM/renal drug development, including trial design/execution and regulatory interactions.
- Ability to develop state-of-the-art CDPs and navigate internal governance for approval, resource planning, and assignment.
- Experience leading x-EA global clinical teams (or CDST equivalent), mentoring direct reports, and collaborating effectively.
- Strong medical monitoring skills; sound scientific and clinical judgment.

U.S. Pay Range: $259,300.00 - $350,800.00. Eligible for annual short-term incentive and long-term incentive (equity).
