About The Role
This role executes daily materials movement and management, coordinating inbound receipts to storage or delivery locations, detrashing, putting away, and managing reorders; ensures accurate documentation and maintains a safe, organized work environment. Supports material handling, inventory management, and warehouse operations across the campus and multiple sites. Applies technical knowledge and judgment to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure accurate, timely material flow to support R&D and operational goals. Assists with calculating stocking levels across point-of-use and storage locations.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Execute warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts/pallet jacks) safely and per procedures
- Ensure accurate shipment receipt, verification, and documentation; maintain traceability and condition
- Stage materials/tools/components to support schedules
- Perform Kanban distribution to point-of-use lab locations
- Manage supplies and stocking levels via transactions; maintain system accuracy
- Support stocking strategy evaluation; monitor vendor lead times; recommend improvements; create and ensure scan-ability of Kanban cards (Excel required)
- Manage reordering flow; investigate discrepancies; drive root-cause resolution
- Identify inventory/material flow issues and resolve/escalate as appropriate
- Prioritize tasks and adjust workflows to meet deadlines
- Generate/maintain operational reports and track metrics (accuracy, cycle time, days of supply, throughput)
- Participate in continuous improvement; improve efficiency/accuracy/safety
- Train less experienced team members
- Maintain a clean, safe work area (OSHA/company standards)
- Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, clinical, planning, quality)
Requirements
- High School Diploma/Associates; 4+ years data entry and receiving experience (bio-tech/lab preferred)
- Some college preferred
- Working knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse operations, and material management
- Ability to calculate stocking strategies; understand shipping/receiving/logistics documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot material flow issues; work with vendors/procurement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Coupa preferred
- Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
- Forklift certification (or ability within 60 days)
- Valid driverβs license
- Sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment; effective communication across teams
