Role Summary
Sr. Manager, US Process Automation Lead responsible for supporting six US sites across all aspects of automation, and coordinating with GH&B GE International PCT to support six international sites as needed. Occasional Pfizer network-wide support may be required at internal and external manufacturing sites. Based in the United States with a hybrid work arrangement; travel expected 10โ25% annually and ability to operate across global time zones.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical automation support and oversight for GH&B US manufacturing sites.
- Establish and facilitate management of GH&B metrics, KPIs and operational reviews across the GE PCT, working with each site to develop and maintain a best in class automation program.
- Drive Standardization & optimize GH&B automation solutions and automation master planning at sites.
- Support automation projects that may include manufacturing equipment such as: filling, packaging, particle monitoring, BMS, batch operations, miscellaneous equipment.
- Drive site automation master planning and long term strategy on automation programs.
- Review automation scope and execution plan of capital investments and contribute to project team execution strategy and resource planning for large projects.
- Oversee large master service agreements and negotiate with large automation partners.
Qualifications
- Experience in production, engineering or process automation
- At site experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation (PLC & SCADA) Systems and AMPS solution platforms
- Strong project management, change agility and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to define and lead projects, track and execute with quality and timeliness on complex programs of work

- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Clearly and concisely summarize complex issues, key outcomes, and importance to the audience, including senior leaders; able to work with different cultures.
Education
- Bachelorโs degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a Masterโs degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience
Additional Requirements
- Significant time on laptop & telecons (remote with global teams)
- Site visits may require walking, lifting equipment and gowning into aseptic environments
- Flexibility to work across global time zones, stretching from the US with occasional international support
- Travel is anticipated to be ~10โ25% throughout the year
