Job Overview
Sitting within the Strategy & Transformation organization within Supply Chain & Operations, this role leads strategic planning and portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead franchise and portfolio strategy development activities, delivering long-range portfolio plans (LRPP).
- Assess critical portfolio changes and moves and implications for profitability and cashflow.
- Drive process integration and handoffs in areas such as LRFP, LRPP, Strategic Capacity Management, and IBP.
- Bridge Supply Chain and Commercial Marketing, Commercial Finance, Platform Leadership, and external stakeholders to gather inputs and align priorities.
- Develop and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional governance forums.
- Align global strategy with regional execution to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Support annual strategic planning, operating plan, and budget cycles for assigned franchises.
- Track performance vs. strategic objectives and initiate corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: Bachelorβs degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
Required Experience/Skills
- 8β10 years progressive experience (or equivalent expertise) in strategy, analytics, operational excellence, project management, or business transformation; including leadership experience.
- Strong project management; end-to-end strategic business planning process understanding.
- Deep Orthopaedics business understanding (field operations and go-to-market models).
- Experience engaging business/technology partners for data needs and strategic foresight in data utilization.
- Ability to define a strategic vision and execute; translate complex topics into workable solutions.
- Strong communication/influencing across levels and geographies; high initiative/autonomy.
Preferred
- Management consulting or corporate strategy background; Commercial/Finance/Value Stream experience.
- Experience with external vendors/consultants; strong analytical/problem-solving and executive-level communication.
Other
- Travel up to 20%; English required.
- Certifications preferred: PMP, FPX, or similar.
