Sr Manager Protein Sciences

Role: Senior Manager in Protein Sciences R&D leading antibody expression and purification capabilities, with a focus on monoclonal and bispecific antibodies. Responsibilities: develop and optimize antibody workflows across various formats, construct design, cell line development, and analytics; build and manage a team of scientists; independently execute experiments, analyze data, and advance projects efficiently. Requirements: PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related field; 5+ years in protein sciences with hands-on antibody expression, purification, and platform development; 5 years of management experience; expertise in antibody engineering, stable cell line generation (preferably CHO), and characterization techniques (SEC, CE-SDS, BLI, SPR). Preferred: experience with automation, programming skills (Python), and high-throughput workflows. High-value: antibody modalities including mAbs and bispecifics, platform robustness, and process optimization. Work setup: based in South San Francisco, CA, with a mix of bench work and leadership duties; candidate should be driven, technically deep, and capable of both hands-on and strategic contributions.
