Sr. Manager, Program Manager - LIMS/ELN & Entity Registration Product Team (R&D BI&T)
Location: Cambridge, MA or Lawrenceville, NJ
Position Overview
- Orchestrate cross-functional delivery of the Data Capture platform (ELN, LIMS, Registration, Inventory, Results/Schemas, Integrations, Advanced Analytics/GenAI) across BMS Research.
- Partner with product owners, capability leads, site leaders, scientists, and IT teams to align strategy, scope, timelines, and resources to drive predictable, measurable adoption and data quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Roadmap: Translate product strategy into a multi-wave, site-aware plan with milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes; align scope/priorities across capability areas.
- Planning & Delivery Governance: Run quarterly/monthly/weekly ceremonies; maintain source-of-truth plan (Jira/Confluence or equivalent) with RAID and change control; manage critical path and escalations.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Establish executive communication cadence with status narratives and KPIs; stage rollouts with site leaders/scientific stakeholders to minimize disruption and maximize value.
- Budget, Sourcing & Vendor Management: Build/manage budgets; forecast/track actuals; coordinate vendor SOWs, deliverables, SLAs, and performance.
- Adoption, Outcomes & Value Realization: Define/instrument adoption and data-quality KPIs; embed change management, training, champions networks, and hypercare in each wave.
- Quality-by-Design Execution: Ensure clear requirements, acceptance criteria, test approaches, and production readiness; coordinate cutover/hypercare playbooks and feedback loops.
- Data & Integration Readiness: Coordinate data migration/integration milestones; sequence upstream/downstream changes; promote structured reusable research data for downstream analytics and GenAI tools.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years program/project management leading multi-site technology programs; life sciences R&D strongly preferred. Track record delivering ELN, LIMS, registration, or adjacent lab/analytics systems at enterprise scale.
- Technical/Methodological Skills: Jira/Confluence and portfolio tools (e.g., Smartsheet/Planview); strong SDLC/Agile, test planning, release/change management, and data/integration concepts; metrics design and dashboarding.
- Soft Skills: Facilitation/negotiation; executive communication; lead cross-functional teams and vendors; high ownership and calm, structured approach under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications (PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile leadership).
- Experience with Benchling or comparable platforms (Genedata, Dotmatics, Revvity, Sapio).
- Familiarity with lab operations, scientific workflows, and research data stewardship.
- Exposure to analytics/ML/GenAI initiatives and data-readiness practices.
