Role Summary

Pfizer is seeking a Primary Insights expert to join the Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team to support the Prevnar Vaccine for Adults. IIS is a team of internal consultants and brand strategists that partner with senior commercial leaders and GCA (Global Commercial Analytics) COEs, to maximize business value and enable executional excellence. Reporting to the IIS US Comirnaty and Prevnar Adult Vaccines Team Lead, this person will be responsible for designing and executing best-in-class primary market research to represent the โ€œvoice of the customerโ€ in support of the strategic priorities of the team. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and executing a market research plan of >$1M of US & Global market research as well as a key strategic point of contact for US and global brand commercial leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy: Provide strategic thought partnership to US and Global commercial teams to drive investment decisions, strategies and tactical plans
  • Brand Strategy: Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of commercial strategies and tactics
  • Brand Strategy: Design and execute market research studies, serving as voice of the customer for the brand strategy team
  • Brand Strategy: Develop and execute creation of in-house knowledge base to drive patient and HCP insights
  • Promotional Performance and Execution Insights: Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of a brandโ€™s marketing campaign
  • Promotional Performance and Execution Insights: Recommend campaign improvement and corrective actions
  • Promotional Performance and Execution Insights: Evaluate campaign assets to ensure optimal customer experience steeped in deep customer insights
  • Promotional Performance and Execution Insights: Integrate campaign insights to broader analytic activities to paint the full picture of marketing execution and customer behavior and inform resource allocation decisions
  • Promotional Performance and Execution Insights: Play a key role in advancing the vision for the future direction of brand activities
  • Collaboration With Other Analytics Teams: Lead the end-to-end vendor selection and management process, including contract negotiation and performance oversight. Partner with vendor/contingent workers to ensure delivery of high-quality market research for U.S. and global markets, aligned with business objectives and compliance standards
  • Collaboration With Other Analytics Teams: Partner with various cross-functional teams โ€“ data science, analytics engineering, market research, and media โ€“ as needed
  • Collaboration With Other Analytics Teams: Alignment with other analytic teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders
  • Collaboration With Other Analytics Teams: Actively contribute to advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership; share knowledge and expertise with colleagues

Qualifications

  • Required: BA/BS in Marketing, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering or related field; MS or MBA preferred
  • Required: 6+ years in consulting or market analytics/market research (5+ years for MS or MBA)
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to develop market research plans and lead research projects with a budget of >$1M annually
  • Required: Proven expertise in end-to-end vendor selection and management for U.S. and international market research, ensuring compliance and high-quality execution
  • Required: Experience framing, designing & executing solutions for challenging business situations
  • Required: In-depth knowledge of multiple analytic disciplines, including primary and secondary data, with an understanding of output and timely insight derivation
  • Required: Proven track record of being a thought partner to brand leaders and influencing without authority
  • Required: Team-oriented, collaborative, with strong listening skills and ability to manage through influence
  • Required: Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, creativity, and ability to foster innovation
  • Required: Sophisticated executive demeanor; strong presentation, verbal and writing skills
  • Required: Ability to work collaboratively in a team and drive change at all levels; strong written and verbal communication
  • Required: Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Preferred: 3+ years of vaccines experience
  • Preferred: Experience leading global and US market research for consumer and HCP insights
  • Preferred: Understanding of IQVIA (DDD, LAAD) and other secondary data sources
