Role Summary

Responsible for the execution and maintenance of product/disease specific projects to establish prevalence or burden of disease/symptoms or health outcomes from treatment. Works closely with Global Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and Brand teams to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. Contributes to the HEOR strategy development.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops and implements projects to inform commercial strategy, value assessment and market access with disease or product specific evidence
  • Collaborates with development or brand team leads to be responsible for HEOR content
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to meet the evidence needs of external audiences
  • Oversee and manage vendors
  • Assist in meeting departmental goals
  • Develops and implements company policies affecting operations; leads tactical initiatives through subordinate staff
  • Analyze situations or data requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Implement strategic policies for methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
  • Establish and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Typical Experience or Education: MPH, MS in Health Outcomes or Health Economics or related degree with 6+ years of pharmaceutical HEOR experience (direct research preferred); HEOR fellowship with research focus desired OR PhD in HE or HO or related field or PharmD with 4+ years of relevant experience; previous managerial/functional management experience required
  • Strong data analytic skills using large claims and publicly available data
  • Strong written communication including publication/medical writing
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal experts and stakeholders
  • Experience/knowledge in claims analysis, dataset analysis, and potential economic modeling preferred
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data, manage projects, influence others, and communicate complex information
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAS or other statistical programming
  • Broad understanding of processes and systems within the function; ability to integrate with broader business objectives
  • Strong leadership, capable of leading multiple teams; excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines with accuracy and efficiency; excellent project management and attention to detail
