Position Summary
Sr. Manager, Government Affairs & Policy
Responsibilities:
- Develop internal and external government affairs and advocacy materials (newsletters, intranet content, program updates, talking points, slide decks; draft letters/emails/infographics and other collateral).
- Build relationships with state/local elected officials, community-based organizations, and civic partners to advance policy priorities.
- Monitor state legislative and regulatory developments; provide timely analysis/updates.
- Represent Acadia in state/local trade associations and coalitions (e.g., BIOCOM, California Life Sciences Association, BioNJ).
- Partner with internal functions to create briefing materials, policy positions, and presentations for state/federal stakeholders.
- Support the GAP team and collaborate with AIR, Commercial, Communications, Medical, R&D, Regulatory, and others as directed.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs in a relevant field (health care administration or public policy) or equivalent experience; 5+ years in health care policy.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Experience anticipating health care public policy trends.
- Understanding of state/federal policy-making (legislative and regulatory processes).
- Cross-functional experience; ability to build consensus in a matrix environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with detail, quality, and timeline discipline.
Location/Work:
- San Diego, CA; Princeton, NJ; or San Francisco, CA (hybrid; ~3 days/week in office).
- Travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as needed.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $149,000β$186,400 USD.
