Role Summary

As a Senior Manager, Global Procurement, you will support the contracts with external research facilities (universities, institutions), licensing agreements, and consultant agreements supporting a variety of developmental capabilities. We work closely with Discovery Research through pre-Clinical Development managing discussions related to the research and pre-clinical service contracts and aligning priorities with Procurement management and interested parties.

A typical day may include a) Manages complex contracts/contracting, supplier and partner activities; b) Drives value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings; c) Participates in organizational decisions in the research and pre-clinical service contracts with critical short and long-term impact on success, efficiency, growth, and results; d) Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry; e) Manages contract activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations; f) Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements; g) Uses data to drive decision-making for successful contract projects; h) Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; progressive procurement experience in Pharma/BioPharma; experience driving results in research and pre-clinical service contracts or related contracts; advanced negotiation and contracting skills; experience managing contract processes including strategy development and execution; ability to provide insight on rates, costs, cost models, and total cost of ownership for negotiations.
  • Preferred: JD degree.
