Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Global Procurement β Patient Services/ Market Access will support the development and implementation of the Market Access Procurement strategy, act as a business strategy influencer and collaborator for Market Access teams, proactively manage a supply base, maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality and cost effectiveness. This role leverages procurement and category management experience to anticipate future business requirements for Regeneron's growing commercial activities. This role is based at Corporate HQ in Sleepy Hollow, NY and requires onsite presence 4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for defining and implementing Global Market Access Category strategies to serve global and regional business needs, including subcategories such as Patient Support Programs, Pricing, Data, Trade, and Reimbursement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage discussions and align category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
- Leverage analytical and negotiation skills to drive cost competitiveness and provide financial insights and recommendations to enable decision making.
- Drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and efficiency savings from agency activities.
- Support Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in Market Access categories with short- and long-term impact on study team success, efficiency, growth, and results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes in biopharmaceuticals to support growth and evolution of Global Procurement; drive improvements aligned with corporate priorities.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law, aligned with Regeneronβs priorities and business requirements as needed.
- May manage teams of professionals responsible for category management tasks, directly or via matrix structure (if applicable).
- Use data to drive decision-making for successful category study projects.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple spend categories within a procurement team.
- Sophisticated negotiation skills and proficiency using data to build business cases.
- Cost modeling knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus across a diverse, collaborative team with limited supervision.
- Program / project management experience.
- Ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results.
- Operate with integrity, focus, and clarity in an evolving working environment.
- Proficiency with standard business applications for communicating, presenting, and analyzing data (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Desire to impact the future of a growing Global Procurement team.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus progressive experience in procurement, including Pharma/BioPharma; 8+ years of experience in relevant functions or industries.
