Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Procurement – Patient Services/ Market Access will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the overall strategy for the Market Access Procurement area. The role involves advising Market Access teams on market supply dynamics and leading practices, proactively managing a supply base to maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality and cost effectiveness. This position leverages Procurement & Category Management experience to anticipate future business requirements for Regeneron's growing commercial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the Global Market Access Category strategies to serve global and regional business needs (subcategories may include Patient Support Programs, Pricing, Data, Trade and Reimbursement).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage discussions and align category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
  • Use analytical and negotiation skills to drive cost competitiveness and provide financial insights and recommendations to enable decision making.
  • Drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from agency activities.
  • Support Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Market Access categories with critical short- and long-term impact on study team success, efficiency, growth, and results.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support growth and evolution of Global Procurement, driving improvements aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions in consultation with the Law department as needed.
  • Manage teams of professional-level employees responsible for performing category management tasks (if applicable), directly or through a matrix structure.
  • Use data to drive decision-making for successful category study projects.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple spend categories within a procurement team.
  • Sophisticated negotiation skills and proficiency using data to build business cases; cost modeling knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus across a diverse, collaborative team with limited supervision.
  • Program / project management experience.
  • Ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to drive results.
  • Integrity, focus, and clarity; ability to operate in an evolving working environment.
  • Proficiency with standard business applications for communicating, presenting, and analyzing data (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus progressive procurement experience, including Pharma/BioPharma; 8+ years of experience in relevant functions or industries.

  • Role is based at corporate HQ in Sleepy Hollow, NY and onsite 4 days/week (no remote/hybrid option).
