As a Senior Manager, Global Congress Center of Excellence, you will manage execution of congress operations across Gilead and Kite, supporting Core Congress Committees and Sub-Teams to ensure standardized, consistent, best-in-class congress planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive project execution and cross-functional coordination for global Tier 1 and Tier 2 congresses; partner to develop congress strategies and recommendations aligned with therapeutic area objectives.
- Maintain event timelines to ensure deliverables are met; oversee compliance reviews and VEM processes.
- Support/lead Core Congress Committees and Sub-Teams with clear objectives and strategic alignment; facilitate planning cadence for therapeutic area meetings, exhibit booths, and symposia.
- Serve as primary association point of contact for timelines, sponsorships, and program details.
- Manage exhibit booth execution and onsite operations (including agency coordination and โrun of showโ); maintain asset trackers, congress master decks, and pre-/post-conference materials.
- Lead project management platforms (e.g., ASANA) and oversee budget management (financial reconciliation and cross-charge processes); manage work orders and purchase orders for non-logistics vendors and congress sponsorships.
- Assist with congress communication plans (leadership updates, newsletters, meeting agendas); establish and track metrics.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory to ensure activities/materials meet regulatory standards; coordinate with Global Congress CoE, U.S., Affiliate teams, and Kite.
Travel: Up to 30%; flexible hours as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree and 8 years experience OR Masterโs degree and 6 years experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years pharmaceutical marketing experience with prior congress leadership; U.S. experience essential.
- Independent leadership of high-visibility strategic projects; strong interpersonal/verbal/written communication and influence in a matrix global organization.
- Experience presenting to senior/executive leadership; strong strategic/analytical and cross-functional recommendation skills; excellence in project management and global pharmaceutical planning, including budgeting.

- Salary range: $133,195.00โ$172,370.00; may be eligible for bonus, long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
