What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Apply skills to contribute within the Sub Business Unit; resolve moderately complex problems and develop new options guided by policies
- Work indirectly reviewed through consultation/agreement; may review othersβ work within the Sub Business Unit
- Enable delivery of projects/programs using standard commercial roadmap patterns and innovative technologies across systems disciplines
- Create technical designs and implementation plans; lead software engineers using agile principles; set technical objectives
- Manage one or more scrum teams across commercial business units within a product grouping/portfolio
- Oversee release management of related platforms; work with infrastructure/shared services to procure/manage stable application platforms
- Manage budgets and resources across multiple projects; act as liaison between customers and technical teams
- Participate in vendor management; embed continuous improvement and automation; foster a DevOps culture
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- BA/BS (6+ yrs) or MBA/MS (5+ yrs) or PhD/JD (1+ yr) or MD/DVM
- Proven experience developing and delivering strategy/operating plans with business teams
- IT expertise as software developer or technical project manager
- Experience managing teams of contract/colleague resources
- Ability to systematically estimate technical projects
- High business knowledge/external marketplace understanding
- Lead in complex matrix with geographically distributed resources
Bonus Points (Preferred Requirements)
- Masterβs degree; relevant pharma industry experience
- Knowledge of system integrations; legal technology experience
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills; ability to influence and present
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) for problem solving
