Role Summary

The Sr. Manager, FP&A - R&D is responsible for budget planning, forecasts, monthly operational/financial reviews, and ad hoc projects in support of the TDOQ (CMC, Quality, Manufacturing) Organization. This role requires strong business acumen, deep financial expertise, and effective communication to partner with the organization. The position location options include San Diego, CA; South San Francisco, CA; or Princeton, NJ with a hybrid in-office requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a financial business partner for the TDOQ Organization (CMC, Quality and Manufacturing), building relationships and supporting priorities
  • Review operating expenses to understand variances and improve forecasts
  • Develop monthly packages for financial management reporting, including variance explanations and scenario analyses
  • Assist in long-range forecast, annual operating plan, and monthly/quarterly forecast updates
  • Support monthly/quarter-end close by reviewing open purchase orders and coordinating with partners to estimate expenses
  • Utilize financial systems to complete tasks
  • Analyze and translate data into strategic inputs and insights for functional and executive decision making
  • Gain understanding of Acadia’s assets and market segments
  • Provide financial modeling for new investments and analytics for the TDOQ organization
  • Provide insight and consolidated information to Corporate FP&A for executive/board decks, dashboards, and cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or related; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of Finance experience, ideally in a high-growth environment
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for variance explanations
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and solve complex problems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; comfortable with large data sets
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Self-directed and collaborative in a team environment

Education

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must commute to the local office on a 60% frequency basis
  • Regular travel may be required; this role involves travel as needed by business schedules
