The Frontlines of Communities in the United States (FOCUS) Program works with partners to: make routine bloodborne virus (HIV/HCV/HBV) screening standard of care; reduce late diagnoses and facilitate linkage to care; expand dialogue with internal/external stakeholders (including government); change public perceptions and overcome stigma; utilize the FOCUS framework/methodology to improve screening/linkage to care for oncology.
Field-based Senior Manager, FOCUS (Florida residence required). Individual contributor; may work cross-functionally with Government Affairs/Policy, Medical Affairs, and Public Affairs. Provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple partner sites, overseeing program execution, quality improvement, data integrity, dissemination, and budget alignment; serves as a connector between external partners and internal teams to support statewide collaboration, proposal development, and partner operationalization.
Reporting to the Senior Regional Director, Partnership, Practice and Innovation; assist with assessment, development, and execution of a state plan of action (POA) to improve and sustain routine HIV, HCV, HBV screening and linkage to care.
Responsibilities (include):
- Maintain dialogue with community thought leaders/policy makers on routine HIV/HCV screening and improved outcomes
- Lead bi-weekly partner check-ins (agenda, data review, CQI, follow-up, takeaways)
- Monitor implementation at partner sites (screening/linkage to care and finance milestones)
- Monitor partner data submissions; liaise for completion and QA
- Elevate SLTC barriers and data to maximize impact and increase health equity
- Develop dissemination goals and regional case studies
- Support statewide government collaboration, proposal development, and onboarding/operationalization
- Establish working links with relevant Gilead departments; evolve implementation science strategy
- Required travel: statewide plus 2–3 meetings/year (~25%)
Minimum required:
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years’ experience OR Master’s + 6 years’ OR Ph.D.
Preferred:
- Background in science/public health/policy/healthcare (or related)
- 6–8 years progressive healthcare/health policy experience
- Implementation science experience (program evaluation, CQI, person-centered care, outcomes measurement)
- Working experience with EHR and data reporting systems
- Master’s/advanced scientific degree strongly preferred

Compensation/benefits:
- Salary range: $143,225.00–$185,350.00; may be eligible for discretionary bonus and long-term incentives; paid time off; benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
