Sr Manager, Data Scientist, Technical Developoment

Role: Senior Manager, Data Scientist, Technical Development, leading applied analytics, statistical modeling, ML/AI, and automation to enhance scientific insights and decision-making across Gilead's Technical Development. Responsibilities: prioritize and evaluate high-value data science opportunities, partner with scientists to prototype and validate analytical approaches within development workflows, translate scientific questions into analytical strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and develop scientific knowledge management solutions including knowledge graphs and GenAI tools. Requirements: BA/BS with 10+ years, MS with 8+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in data science, statistics, or related fields; strong programming skills in Python or R; experience in statistical modeling, ML/AI, automation, and knowledge management; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Preferred: experience with cloud platforms, regulated environments, and coaching data science teams.
