Sr. Manager, Cryopreservation Operations

Role: Senior Operations Manager overseeing Cryopreservation, MOI, and QCCB manufacturing for Johnson & Johnson's cell therapy facility in Raritan, NJ. Objectives include scaling-up operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and building high-performing teams. Responsibilities: lead manufacturing operations supporting both clinical and commercial cell therapy, develop strategic vision for capacity and technology utilization, foster a culture of quality, safety, and compliance, and collaborate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other functions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (advanced degree in Science or Engineering preferred), at least 8 years of relevant GMP manufacturing experience, prior team leadership, and strong communication skills. Preferred: experience in sterile biological/pharmaceutical manufacturing, knowledge of Lean methodologies (certified Green/Black Belt a plus), and familiarity with electronic batch records or ERP systems. High-value specifics: focus on personalized cell therapy processes, regulatory compliance, and operational scaling. Work setup: based in Raritan, NJ, with up to 10% domestic/international travel.
