Position Overview
Senior Manager, Cost Accounting will lead inventory and cost accounting within a pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead inventory and cost accounting: standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis.
- Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close for inventory, COGS, reserves, and manufacturing variances.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and FP&A to establish and maintain product costing methodologies.
- Analyze PPV, manufacturing/labor variances, overhead absorption, and inventory adjustments.
- Oversee inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and inventory reserve analyses.
- Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and internal controls for inventory/cost accounting.
- Drive continuous improvement in inventory accounting, ERP utilization, and reporting automation.
- Serve as NetSuite inventory/costing subject matter expert (enhancements, integrations, optimization).
- Support external/internal audits and SOX compliance for inventory/cost accounting.
- Develop inventory-related accounting policies/procedures and documentation.
- Provide inventory performance/margin/supply chain efficiency insights to leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related (required); CPA and/or CMA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years progressive accounting/finance focused on inventory and cost accounting.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/life sciences.
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; extensive NetSuite ERP (inventory costing/reporting) experience.
- Standard costing, variance analysis, inventory controls; audit/internal control experience.

Preferred Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
- Pharma manufacturing/clinical supply accounting/CMO-CDMO; FDA-regulated operations; controlled/highly regulated inventory management.
