Sr. Maintenance Technician

Role: Senior Maintenance Technician responsible for operating utility systems and performing maintenance activities at Amgen's biotech manufacturing site. Primary objectives include ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance of utility and HVAC systems critical to biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting issues, with a focus on cGMP-regulated environments. Qualifications: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of maintenance/Military experience or associate’s degree with 6 months experience; preferred 5+ years in utility/HVAC/refrigeration systems maintenance, including experience with pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and building automation. Additional skills in rigging, welding, plumbing, and interpreting P&IDs preferred. The role requires strong computer skills and knowledge of Maximo CMMS. Experience in highly regulated environments and working with utility systems in biotech manufacturing is advantageous. The position is based on a rotating 12-hour day shift (7AM-7PM). High-value specifics include utility/HVAC systems, cGMP compliance, biotech manufacturing support, and experience with automation and maintenance documentation. The role involves minimal travel and contributes to the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of Amgen’s manufacturing infrastructure, supporting the development and production of medicines for oncology, inflammation, and rare diseases.
