Sr. Logistics Analyst - Cold Chain Lead

Position Summary:
Lead cold chain logistics activities across the U.S. supply network to deliver products safely and on time. Work with supply, quality, external carriers and commercial partners to design, improve and execute temperature-controlled transport solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end cold chain shipments (planning to carrier execution to delivery confirmation); manage and evaluate temperature-controlled carriers/providers.
- Build operational metrics, reports and dashboards; investigate/resolve temperature excursions and shipment failures with quality and ops.
- Drive process improvements and standard operating procedures; support cross-functional projects to scale cold chain capabilities (equipment selection/qualification).
- Oversee 3PL warehouse partner activities (receiving, shipping, order transfers, cycle counting, IWTs) while ensuring Quality and Safety compliance.
- Oversee external cold storage warehousing partner (transaction/dispatch management for materials to/from the Zebulon Site) with auditable documentation.
- Ensure GDP/ALCOA++ compliance and Cold Storage requirements during receiving, intra-site moves and outbound shipments (temperature monitoring logs).
- Support internal/external audits; document and educate partners; participate/lead cold chain training.
- Manage warehouse capacity and inventory accuracy via physical and systemic checks.
- Drive operational/data management improvements via problem solving, continuous improvement and performance management.
- Serve as cold chain site liaison/point of contact; provide Orange Belt support using DMAIC for logistics deviations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (supply chain/logistics/engineering/life sciences or related) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years in logistics/supply chain/cold chain operations.
- Experience managing temperature-controlled transportation and packaging.
- Strong analytical skills; Excel and reporting/BI tools.
- Experience working with external carriers and 3rd-party logistics providers.
- Clear written/verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare cold chain experience.
- Knowledge of temperature monitoring devices, validated shippers and qualification protocols.
- Regulatory familiarity for temperature-sensitive storage/transport.
- Experience with WMS/TMS or ERP integration; Lean/Six Sigma; Power BI/Tableau dashboard creation.
