Role Summary
The Sr. Group Leader will provide leadership and guidance to direct staff and colleagues to ensure achievement of all departmental goals, focusing on timely and accurate payment processing. The position will proactively identify and recommend new processes and efficiencies for the team. The successful candidate will also provide analytical, operational, and customer-centered support to all clinical payment stakeholders and internal team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage/Direct workload within workgroup from initiation through closeout, ensuring that departmental goals and metrics are being met.
- Troubleshoot and execute problem solving with minimal managerial supervision.
- Provide internal and external clients with seamless customer service and a consistent high level of quality work in the processing of payments.
- Identify and manage payment risks and issues, escalating compliance and financial challenges as appropriate.
- Lead innovations through solutions-based data analysis, lessons learned and best practice sessions.
- Provide performance feedback for team members on their individual performance reviews, ensure all direct reports are appropriately trained and support individual development plans.
- Ensure departmental compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems or processes. Help define best business practices and lead training and implementation within the team.
- Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders
- Will have supervisory responsibility for direct reports/outsourced vendor.
Qualifications
- Required: 8+ years of equivalent related work experience; Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Required: Strong analytical, communication skills and customer support.
- Required: Proficiency in SAP is required; DSP experience is preferred.
- Preferred: Experience with clinical studies and contract budgets.
- Required: Excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Required: Able to influence without authority.
