Role Summary

Sr. Field Clinical Coordinator based in St. Louis area. Educates patients on the safe and appropriate use of BioMarin marketed therapies, supports Palynziq initiation and ongoing therapy, and collaborates with clinics and account teams. Travel up to 65% of the week; supports 50-60 PKU patients in a designated region.

Responsibilities

  • Work with assigned clinics, field sales, and RareConnections personnel to ensure timely initiation of BioMarin therapy and adherence-related activities.
  • Collaborate in an account team to move cases from referral to specialty pharmacy shipment to product start.
  • Conduct patient-level education on BioMarin product information, disease state awareness, injection training, and clinic protocols at request.
  • Provide in-person support for self-administration of FDA-approved BioMarin therapies as needed.
  • Use motivational interviewing to empower patients, provide medication reminders, and coordinate labs and clinic appointments.
  • Provide ongoing patient education on disease and product administration techniques.
  • Participate in direct-to-patient educational events (3–4 times/year, weekends and weekdays).

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Pharmaceutical experience as a patient educator
  • 4+ years of direct patient care experience in rare disease
  • Education as an allied health care professional
  • Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Required: Successful background check
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and driving record
