Senior Event Specialist (Marketing)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic event plans aligned to corporate, commercial, and brand objectives.
- Participate in annual planning for events, conferences, advisory boards, customer engagement programs, and experiential initiatives.
- Recommend participation/sponsorship/activation strategies and resource allocation.
- Set event goals, KPIs, and measurement frameworks; advise stakeholders on event strategy, audience engagement, and experience design.
- Manage event budgets; evaluate vendor proposals and independently negotiate contracts, pricing, and scopes of work.
- Lead cross-functional event planning (Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Training, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Executive Leadership) and coordinate agencies/production partners/vendors.
- Design attendee engagement strategies; recommend content formats and experiential activations; partner on omnichannel customer engagement.
- Analyze event data and report ROI/engagement/lead generation/retention; drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure events comply with company policies and applicable legal/regulatory/industry requirements.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelorβs degree (Marketing/Comms/Business/Hospitality/Event Mgmt or equivalent).
- 4+ years in event marketing/experiential marketing/conference management/strategic event planning.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex programs with significant budgets.
- Vendor contract negotiation and agency relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills, project management, communication, and stakeholder management.
Preferred
- Experience in regulated industries (aesthetics/healthcare/pharma/medical device).
- Familiarity with medical/legal/regulatory review processes.
- National conferences/tradeshows/experiential marketing experience.
- Event platforms (Cvent, Swoogo, Canva, and/or RSVPify).
Location & Travel
- Newport Beach (hybrid onsite TueβThu); up to 25% travel.
Compensation & Benefits
- Exempt; pay range: $95,000β$115,000; annual bonus eligibility; medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short-term disability, 401(k) match, possible equity/incentives, flexible PTO.
