Sr Engineer, Facilities & Utilities, ARI Engineering Projects
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and support capital and infrastructure projects related to: site utilities; facility modifications; civil/site development; fire protection systems; manufacturing support infrastructure.
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities from concept through commissioning, qualification, startup, and turnover.
- Provide technical oversight for: architectural/MEP/civil/structural civil design; fire protection and fire alarm engineering design; stormwater and drainage systems; site access and infrastructure modifications; utility routing and facility integration.
- Ensure compliance with: local town/municipal codes; fire and life safety requirements; environmental regulations; corporate engineering standards.
- Serve as the site interface for town officials, fire marshals, building inspectors, external engineering firms, and FM Global; support permitting strategy, inspections, and regulatory approvals.
- Partner with Facilities & Engineering, Manufacturing, EHSS, Automation, and Capital Project teams to minimize operational impact; support outage planning, construction sequencing, operational readiness, and startup.
- Participate in engineering risk assessments, constructability reviews, and project governance; drive technical problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers; manage engineering design processes and resources; support equipment startup and commissioning; support existing systems and fire protection maintenance program.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED + 10 years engineering experience OR Associate’s + 8 years OR Bachelor’s + 4 years OR Master’s + 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering (or related).
- Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/GMP or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of: IBC, NFPA, FM Global standards, OSHA, municipal permitting processes.
Experience with: capital project management, facilities engineering, infrastructure upgrades, construction management, commissioning & qualification (C&Q), stakeholder management, influencing cross-functional teams, balancing compliance/operational needs/schedules, operational readiness and outage execution.
