Sr Engineer

Role: Senior Packaging Engineer within Amgen's Combination Product Operations, focusing on the development, maintenance, and improvement of packaging platforms for biopharmaceutical products. Responsibilities include managing technical deliverables for packaging systems, qualifying components, supporting technology transfers, and ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. Collaboration spans Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to deliver scalable and robust packaging solutions supporting clinical supply, technology transfers, and lifecycle management. Qualifications: Doctorate or Master’s with 2 years, Bachelor’s with 4 years, or equivalent engineering experience; experience in packaging, manufacturing, or process engineering in regulated environments; familiarity with cGMP, validation, change control, and technical documentation. Preferred skills include expertise in developing and improving clinical or commercial packaging configurations, supporting technology transfers, and implementing automated equipment. The role requires strong project management, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills. High-value biopharma specifics: experience with biologics, clinical and commercial packaging, regulated manufacturing, and lifecycle activities; support for process improvements, technology transfers, and new product introductions. The role reports to the Packaging Engineering group, with a focus on global packaging networks, and may involve some travel. Location is flexible, potentially hybrid or remote, depending on arrangements.
