What You Will Do
- Own technical deliverables for assigned projects, components, systems, or platform areas with quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and improve packaging platforms supporting product supply, technology transfers, and lifecycle management.
- Evaluate, recommend, qualify, and sustain packaging components, materials, processes, and platform elements for pharmaceutical products.
- Solve moderately complex technical problems involving materials, product presentations, equipment, automated processes, documentation, and manufacturing interfaces.
- Identify technical risks/gaps/issues within scope, anticipate downstream impacts, drive timely resolution, and escalate appropriately.
- Lead/support technical assessments, test protocols, qualification activities, engineering reports, specifications, procedures, and change controls.
- Support technology transfers (clinical to commercial; site to site) for packaging configurations, equipment, and processes.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver robust, compliant, scalable packaging solutions.
- Manage priorities, project plans/dashboards, communicate progress/issues, and drive completion within timelines.
- Identify and implement incremental improvements to processes/designs/tools/documentation/ways of working.
- Share knowledge and guide junior engineers.
- Ensure cGMP, regulatory, and change control expectations are met; support inspections as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree OR Master’s + 2 years Engineering OR Bachelor’s + 4 years Engineering OR Associate’s + 8 years Engineering OR High school/GED + 10 years Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Packaging/manufacturing/process engineering or regulated technical operations experience.
- Experience with clinical/commercial packaging configurations, lifecycle management, technology transfers, new product introductions, site start-ups, standardization, automated equipment implementation, or process improvements.
- Knowledge of cGMP, change control, qualification/validation, technical writing, and regulated manufacturing.
