Role: Senior scientific leader serving as the PSTS Neuroscience Disease Area Lead, responsible for strategic pipeline integration and disease-specific scientific strategy across discovery through registration phases. Responsibilities: develop and oversee disease area plans, guide cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with regulatory expectations, and maintain expert knowledge of neuro drug development. Act as primary interface with therapeutic area leaders, contribute to risk management, and support external collaborations and regulatory interactions. Requirements: Ph.D. with 10+ years industry experience; expertise in pharmaceutical sciences, drug development strategies, and regulatory requirements, especially in neuroscience. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills for matrix management; experience with neuro discovery, development, and regulatory processes. Preferred: dual advanced degrees (e.g., MD), board certifications (e.g., DABT), and experience with neuro governance, diligence, and external regulatory engagement. Other: travel approximately 20%, with locations in Spring House, PA; Beerse, Belgium; or San Diego, CA. High-value: focus on neuroscience therapeutics, from discovery to clinical registration, with emphasis on strategy development, risk stewardship, and cross-functional leadership within biopharmaceutical R&D.
